I often look for signs that the ones I’ve lost are still with me. Two new years eves ago, I was on the phone with a good friend while driving to Florida. This past new years, I was on the same drive, under the same stars, but he wasn’t reachable on the other end. It felt odd looking at the same open sky with more stars than Nashville can offer, but with a new weight on my perspective when it comes to permanence. I found myself searching for common ground with my uncontactable buddy and hoped that the constellations arranged above me in that moment were thanks to him. Right then, I thought, “Which pocket of starlight looks enough like you to convince me that you’re still here?” From that notes entry came LATITUDES - OUT NOW 🌠
