merry christmas every body
this one came out of a guitar sketch with two parts that mostly align but aren’t really super interested in always doing the same thing and then a bass part that just kinda does whatever it wants, so maybe it’s entirely natural that my mind landed on arguments as the theme.
i think its easy for me to reach for an exaggerated and bleak tone but that’s super dangerous to reach for while also weaving in slices of my family’s real christmas day traditions. my joke on bluesky was that if done correctly, this song would offend and alienate them all but sometimes it’s not worth committing to the bit. so hopefully i got the tone right while still giving me a chance to scream a lil.
