Here’s a few shots from a dialogue scene in The Vanishing Part 2. This scene was all about power and control. @dean_tokuno , @cmartinfilms , @_osiris.4h worked their magic as the window becomes the dominant light source while everything else falls into shadow. Letting the faces dip into darkness wasn’t about hiding detail, it was about shaping emotion. Light reveals, shadow withholds. We leaned into silhouette to strip things down to intent. The captive feels small, contained, while the opposing figure carries more weight in the frame—less about coverage, more about presence. Framing reinforces that imbalance. Even when they share the shot, the composition keeps them divided. The center window becomes a visual line—two men in the same room, but completely separated in power. The DZO Pavo anamorphics add just enough softness and falloff to keep it grounded and human, while the Alexa 35 lets us hold that contrast without losing the image. After a year on the festival circuit THE VANISHING wraps up its eighth and final festival. I’m blown away by the response from festivals and audiences on this film. Congrats to the cast and crew for all of its success. Two weeks away from filming the next chapter! 🎥

That’s one off of the bucket list! My film played at the @chinesetheatres in Hollywood at the @goldenstatefilmfestival . It was an honor to play at this festival at a theater that has such a rich cinema history. Feeling proud of the team that worked on part one and I’m even more excited to film part two of our film series at the end of this month. 🎥
