Thank you @schmitty_sf and everyone else involved and those who shared in the beautiful Phil Shao doc. Here are some photos I’ve had from a 1993 @think.skateboards demo in Bremerton at Mountain View Middle school’s parking lot. It was my first time seeing and meeting pros and-or anyone on that level and left a huge impact on a 13 year old kid that had just started. Phil and Greg Carrol were super cool and answered all my dumb questions and even left me with some googly eyed glasses that I later saw Phil wearing in an ad (I lost them :( anyway it was awesome day. Dan back 180 a grass gap to lower parking lot full speed, shirt got thrashed during the process and thought that was badass. Later When the Damage video came out if further solidified who my first favorites were. Thanks @greg.s.carroll for coming back a few years later with Wade, Barley who also become childhood hero’s. I feel extremely blessed that Sean Barrango got out of the Navy here and opened Our World Skateshop, built and hosted jams and brought people like Phil and other teams all over Kitsap before skateparks were around. Thank you @flowblocker for taking these photos and being a one of my best friends for over 30 years ❤️
Love you San Jose, grateful for all the memories and friendships that spawned from meeting @unclescatman at church a couple years after these photos were taken.

I thought it be appropriate to share this old photo and 8mm footage from 97’ on 4th Street back when @toebock videos would air on BKAT (public access channel). I guess you could say this is kinda of a full circle moment 30 years later premiering a video on the same block that helped shape my skateboarding and street knowledge 🙏🏽❤️

A baddass mofo with a big ass heart, Jesse and I met in church at a young age and ate ice cream, skated and watched movies everyday for probabaly a decade. He was my best friend from childhood and we pushed each other in so many ways, even though he lapped me in financial freedom department, we shared a very similar dream of creating our own utopia. I’m inspired by you everyday.
