more Bill Haines + Jimmie Shields, Brentwood. lots of classical statues, serious door hardware, a fantastic geometric bathroom (no idea if it’s original), then a warren of rooms at the back that went up and down and didn’t really make sense. fantastic garden with roses + pool + more statues plus terraces and an adjacent lower lot. so glad I got to see this, even if most of Haines was long gone.

can anyone ID this vintage chrome + vinyl chaise longue/daybed. it’s not adjustable and the tear has been there forever. I saw one in PS last week that was ID’d as Heywood Wakefield!

in honor of William Morris’ birthday, I pulled out my Golden Lily bedspread purchased at Sanderson in London in 1970 when I turned 16 and was able to furnish my bedroom the way I wanted. Linen, still in excellent condition, and surprisingly fits our CA King. shown along with the only other remnant from my room—this groovy bedside lamp. anyone recognize the make?
