30 April 1999, 6.37pm — Admiral Duncan, Soho, London At this moment, we pause to remember. A nail bomb tore through a place of safety and belonging, targeting our community with hate. Three lives were taken, dozens more forever changed — but a community was never broken. We remember Andrea Dykes, Nik Moore & John Light. 💔 We honour those who survived, and all who were affected. As Actually Gay Men's Chorus we stand with our wider community in a legacy of resilience, unity, and pride. We will not tolerate hate. We will not be divided. We continue to stand, to sing, and to fight against those who seek to harm us. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ This evening, our siblings at Diversity Choir will be taking part in a Soho Act of Remembrance in Old Compton Street. 🕯 Always remembered. Never forgotten. #AdmiralDuncan #NeverForget #WeStandTogether #NoPlaceForHate #WithLoveActuallyXx 📸 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans History Month UK

VARIOUS VOICES 2030 – LAUNCH WORKSHOP Today we began something special. Together with our friends and co-hosts Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus and Rainbow Chorus, we held our launch workshop for Various Voices 2030 — right here in Brighton. This isn’t just a festival we’re hosting. It’s a city-wide collaboration. A shared vision. A celebration of friendship, community, and connection in full voice. We’re preparing to welcome the LEGATO choir family from across Europe, with over 4,500 performers bringing music, energy, and joy to our streets, venues, and seafront — and creating real impact for local businesses across Brighton & Hove. Today we started asking the big questions: ✨ What would make this feel electric? ✨ How do we bring others with us? ✨ What will we each contribute to make it happen? And this is just the beginning. Brighton 2030: Sing. Connect. Inspire. The journey has begun. #WithLoveActuallyXx @variousvoiceschoirfestival @actuallygmc @brightongmc @rainbowchorus @mayorofbrightonandhove #VariousVoicesBrighton2030 @legatochoirs

Actually Gay Men’s Chorus is a proud ally of our trans, non-binary and gender-diverse siblings. On International Trans Day of Visibility, we celebrate trans lives, voices, and contributions—while recognising that visibility is still an act of courage in a world where hate and division are on the rise. As a gay men’s chorus, our roots are in community, resistance, and expression. We exist because others fought to be seen and heard—and that same fight continues today for trans people. Our art is built on inclusion, empathy, and telling stories that matter. Standing with our trans siblings isn’t optional—it’s fundamental to who we are. There is no LGB without the T. Our histories are intertwined, our struggles connected, and our futures stronger when we stand together. When one part of our community is under attack, we all have a responsibility to speak up, show up, and sing louder. Today, and every day, we stand united—for visibility, for dignity, and for love. #internationaltransdayofvisibility #itdov2026 #proudallies #WithLoveActuallyXx

Today we celebrate the heavenly birthday of our much-loved friend and patron, Jason Sutton — our forever Miss Jason. 💙 Famous for not taking himself too seriously, he gave us: The false starts. The dramatic resets. The unforgettable: “One Night Only… STOP THE MUSIC… One Night Only!” He had us laughing, cheering, and holding our breath — sometimes all at once. Jason threw himself into every role with gusto. He was “The Blue Fairy” in our very first Disney Medley, a performance full of sparkle and mischief ✨. He brought his own unique flair as Agnetha in our ABBA Medley, and showed his true performance power — out of his wig and heels, authentic and with a hint of vulnerability — for our show “Bring on the Men.” Every role was a chance for him to shine, make us laugh, and remind us what magic a stage can hold. Behind the sparkle, Jason had a serious heart. He raised thousands for local and LGBTQ+ causes, and as a proud patron of The Sussex Beacon, he championed people living with HIV and worked to reduce stigma. Jason is a much-missed pillar of our Actually “logical family” — the one whose laughter, heart, and spirit still shapes every note we sing. Happy Birthday, Jason. One Night Only… but unforgettable forever. 🎶✨ 🕯 📸 @michiels.hugo
