What an evening! I had the pleasure of attending my ArtsCentric family production of ‘A Soldier Play’ last night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience, especially as they celebrated their 10-year anniversary as a nonprofit. The evening was filled with talent and creativity, showcasing the incredible dedication of everyone involved.
The entire production was nothing short of amazing and masterfully directed by Kevin McAllister. The cast was super stellar and brought a phenomenal energy to the stage, making every moment captivating. Special kudos to my brother, Curtis McNeil, for his masterful portrayal of Richard Davenport-his performance was both powerful and nuanced.
Equally impressive were Baakari Wilder as Sgt. Vernon Waters and Marvin Brown as Private First Class Melvin Peterson. Their dramatic roles added depth and intensity to the narrative, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The set design, choreography, costumes, and music were all beautifully executed, contributing to an immersive theatrical experience. Each element worked harmoniously to enhance the storytelling, making it a feast for the senses.
