With the rising use of new drugs and increasing exploitation, our young people are facing growing risks. That’s why we are committed to keeping our team informed, trained and prepared to respond to these evolving challenges.
Through our #MyEnds work, we support some of the most vulnerable young people across Southwark. It’s essential that we understand the realities they are navigating and the dangers they may be exposed to.
This recent training, delivered by the @metpolice_uk Southwark Project Adder Team, provided valuable insight from officers who regularly encounter young people at their most vulnerable, often when they are in custody and, importantly, recognised as victims. Their perspective highlighted the complexity of the situations many young people face and reinforced the need for informed, compassionate responses.
We also had the opportunity to see first-hand some of the drugs that have been taken off the streets of Southwark and Lambeth, bringing home the seriousness of the issue. We are planning more of these training across our MyEnds Action Zones in Southwark with parents and schools.
We remain determined to prevent drug misuse and protect the young people we work with. This is not work we do alone, we continue to collaborate closely with our partners and local authority teams to provide the best possible support and intervention.

Are you aged 12–19 and looking for something fun, safe and social to do? Come along to Rockingham Youth Club every Thursday at the Rockingham Community Centre (SE1)
We’re open every week with friendly youth workers ready to welcome you. There’s always something going on, including:

It’s a great place to meet new people, try new things and just hang out in a relaxed environment with your friend’s.

This coming Friday, we are excited to open our new youth club session in Peckham, launched in response to strong public demand from local families and residents.
Young people from across the Bells Garden Estate and the surrounding estates have been asking for a youth club space on their estate and we are proud to be making this happen for the community.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the launch of this youth club in SE15. Your support has helped create a safe, welcoming, and positive space for our young people to connect, grow, and thrive.

Our Young Connectors leadership workshop is all about building confidence, strengthening communication skills, and empowering young people from Clapham Park Estate. 🌟
Through peer-to-peer support, our young leaders are creating a safe and inspiring space where young people can learn from one another, grow together, and develop skills that prepare them for the real world.
When young people are given the right support and opportunities to develop new skills, they are better equipped to face challenges, build positive relationships, and step confidently into their future.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the Junior Dean Memorial Cup. 💙
From all the clubs, organisations, and young people involved you helped make this event truly special and a huge success.
Across both the Coaches vs Players fundraiser match and the Memorial Cup, nearly £2000 was raised in support of Junior’s family, an incredible achievement made possible by the unity and generosity of everyone involved.
Congratulations to SL90 as the winners of the Memorial Cup, but more importantly, this wasn’t about the result, it was about the community coming together in strength, showing love, and honouring Junior in the best way possible.
With over 250 young people taking part and spectating across the two days, the turnout showed the true power of togetherness and what football can bring beyond the pitch.
Thank you for standing together, for showing up, and for making it count. 💙
