📍 Pico Areeiro - Pico Ruivo, is it worth it 👉
The famous Pico to Pico hike that we love so much has re-opened after being shut since Aug 24 due to significant wildfire fire and damage to the trail.
It’s now finally re-opened but, with restrictions and strict guidelines for entry like a one way system, it’s now a paid and ticketed route and has a set limit per day.
So, what do we think. is the juice worth the squeeze?
In our eyes it’s one of the most incredible hikes and possibly one of the top hikes in Europe, the trail is diverse, the sunrise is epic with a high chance of catching a cloud inversion where the peaks shine through and it has exposed paths along the trail that makes the scenery vast and that also gives you a challenging but rewarding hike.
In recent years it has become extremely popular at the detriment of its sustainability, and unfortunately it’s not always well respected (humans being humans 🙄) So, something needed to happen and we think it was a necessary decision.
There are plenty of other amazing trails on the island but , if you can get past the organised perimeters and be thankful that you get to witness it, even just once then, in our eyes it’s still definitely worth the squeeze!
In our tour we’ll also be exploring paths less trodden but, if you’re going to the island it’s not really one you want to miss so… it will still be on our list (if the conditions permit).

Marrakech is vibrant to say the least and uniquely enchanting but, if you’re will to go even further you can be in the snow capped mountains in an hour, waterfalls and blue rivers, the Sahara in the amount of same time.
We explored the Atlas, quad bikes through the desert, had a livery desert camp and a sunrise hot air balloon. And stayed in the coolest little Riad.

What a week in the Mountains 🇳🇴❄️🏂⛷️
Hosting a snowboarding retreat in Norway for @active_odyssey has been so special. A week of snowy mountain views, shaky first turns, big wins, deep chats and so many giggles. Watching the girls push themselves, build confidence and truly come out of their shells has been the most beautiful part.
There’s something so powerful about women coming together, supporting one another and doing something that scares them a little 🏂🏔️✨
