I’m always trying to figure out what works best for fuelling longer runs and races, but I’ve gradually realised I do better with things that feel simple, easy to carry, and not overly sweet.

As always, this block and all races have been fuelled by @active.root . The gels are all really easy on the digestion, give a great energy boost and don’t taste “sticky.” Trying to climb hills with poles 40 plus miles in on Saturday I was very glad that they’re also easy to open!! For me, I tend to use them for either shorter, faster races, or late on during ultras when I struggle to take on enough fuel otherwise. They’re also British made and vegan.
