First thing i saw were the lights and let me tell you this is a really good ambiented venue i think it fits pretty well machine girl and to know that now they are playing in festivals and bigger venues is crazy, they had to grind to the point where they are now because at least of what i know they didnt receive any help and was originally a one man band by Matt Stephenson the one singing in the video and later became a 2 man band in 2015 with the drummer Sean Kelly and even more later 3 man band in 2024 recluting the guitarrist Lucy Caputi. i think if u are in this type of music ur inevitably going to think about Death Grips as that was one thing that i thought too seeing this live with the drummer giving a lot of vibes of the legend Zach Hill either way the drummer Sean is a beast too i couldnt decide on which song to upload but in this one u can see him ripping the hell out of that drums he is real crazy and Matt doesn't hold back or fall behind too, really giving it his all, most noticeably in his insane way of singing or screaming, i get it if u dont like this type of music but for me this live is an instant classic and extremely underrated having only 50k views on youtube and now that we are done discussing this live and a little of history lets move to their sound, they can be obviously compared to Death Grips but there is also some other bands that are similar in my opinion as: blanck mass, Atari teenage riot, and femtanyl in some way either way this guys are really unique and there could be similars but keep in mind that they started in 2012 only 2 years later than dg and way back when all that DnB breakcore or digital hardcore wasnt that popular wouldnt call them pioneers but definitely one of the first if that makes sense
