As a kid, my favorite thing in the world was playing with cars. Back then, if you told me, one day I would actually get paid to do what I love most, drive fast and slide cars, I’m not sure I would have believed you. This job was a full circle moment. As stunt coordinator, I had the opportunity to go over the boards with Director Josh Hayward. Every shot had me drifting a Dark Horse Mustang. It was at that moment I realized how amazing this job was going to be. On top of the dream job, we had a totally professional crew that was on the ball, and made my job easy. Ashlei Tave @stuntlei was also on the job shooting a Bronco Raptor commercial simultaneously, and when she wasn’t sliding the Bronco, she was giving me a hard time and making me laugh non-stop. Grateful to this professional crew: Director: Josh Hayward @Josh_Hayward_ EP Scott Dodoro 1st AD Kelty Heppler @khepps Prod Super Shandi Kano @shandikk Locations Steven Currie @scoututah DP Tim Thompson @timthompson.dp 2nd Unit DP Spencer Goff @sp.goff Armcar Chris Barrett @cl_barrett Exec Creative Director Carlos Pabon HMU Amy Davis @winwithamy Wardrobe Jana Salvatore @janasalvatore Producer Joan DiSalvo Creative Officer Bob Guisand #ford

This 84-second video is all the proof you need that Tom is an absolute ANIMAL over Turn 1 at Laguna Seca! šŸš€šŸš€ Four laps, each one crazier than the last. And the final one? Straight-up savage!! 😳 Unfortunately, my mic malfunctioned all day… which is probably for the best, because I was losing all composure under my helmet šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« And just when we thought we were moving, Max Biaggi blazes past us like we were standing still! šŸ˜…šŸ Aprilia RSV4 1100s in their natural habitat. Who’s riding at Laguna next month? šŸ‘€ See you there. #Aprilia #RSV4 #LagunaSeca #ApriliaRSV #MaxBiaggi #Sportbikes #TrackDay #TurboTom

Today, we celebrate Tom McComas and a life extremely well lived. He was 86 years old. I miss him. My Dad was so much more than his accomplishments, though they were vast. To me, he was a constant, someone who showed me how to take the next right action, no matter what. He was a dreamer, a filmmaker, a US Marine, a father, a husband, an author, and a man who spent his life pursuing the things that brought him joy—trains, baseball, classic cars and motorcycles, and a good story well told. Dad’s love for Lionel Trains was something that started in childhood and grew into a passion that shaped his life. His work at TM Books & Video—creating everything from a six volume hardcover set of books chronicling the History of Lionel Trains to price guides, and the massively successful ā€œI Love Toy Trainsā€ video series—touched the lives of so many people, but it also brought him so much fulfillment. He turned his love of trains into something tangible, something that brought joy not just to him but to thousands of others. He always had that spark, that relentless pursuit of what truly mattered to him. He never stopped dreaming, and in a way, he taught me and everyone around him to do the same. But what I’ll miss most is not the work he did or the films he made—it’s him. It’s the sound of his laugh, his incredibly quick wit, his ability to find the light in every situation. It’s his love of the Chicago White Sox, rides on his BMW motorcycle, and the 100 yard commute to his studio with a smile on his face. It’s the simple moments, the love and loyalty he showed to his family. He showed me how to love with his magical, 37 year marriage to Charyl, and the way he treated my brothers Jeff, Chris and myself. He was my Dad, and I’ll carry his memory with me forever. God speed, Dad. You’ve gave me more than I could ask for, and I’m grateful to have been able to call you Dad.

Sometimes, life comes full circle. In 1984 Beverly Hills Cop came out and this suburban Chicago raised 14 year old was totally blown away. Eddie Murphy was the funniest person I had ever seen, and it gave an impressionable kid a new and different perspective on California and Beverly Hills. This movie was instrumental in helping me make the decision, at some point, I would move to California. Fast forward to the present and my friend Ryan Rasberry @ryan_rasberry is driving the car, and we’re chasing Eddie Murphy. I’ve climbed out the sunroof and shooting a machine gun at my childhood hero. Never did ever dare to dream that one day I would be in a movie doing this, or that I could miss that many times. Thanks to Mike Gunther @5150action and Kyle Woods @kylewoods360 for turning this kid’s dream a reality.

Happy Father’s Day to all Dads! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the sacrifices you made for your children’s benefit. The guy on the right taught me how to be a man, how not to be afraid of hard work, what it means to never quit, an appreciation for design, how old stuff can be better than new stuff, and most of all, thank you for having that bike in the garage when I was 13, so I could stick a nail in the ignition and teach myself how to ride. šŸ‘šŸ¼
