Our second years are taking the stage at Brighton Fringe 26.
CHEKHOVIAN: Letters & Scenes weaves together scenes from Chekhov's four major plays – The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, Three Sisters and The Cherry Orchard – with intimate letters between Chekhov and the newly formed Moscow Arts Theatre and thus, reveals the artistic and personal struggles and joys that shaped their ground-breaking work.
Created and directed by Sian Webber and performed by our incredible Diploma students... and yes, a Brighton Fringe credit is just one of the things that comes with studying at ACT 🎭

Some of our past students walked in never having acted before. Others were returning to something they'd loved and let go of. Both are exactly who this is for.
If you've been thinking about it, the next workshop starts 13 April and runs for two weeks. Come and see if acting is for you.
The two-week workshop is a great experience in its own right. Or if you love it and want more, this is just the beginning. The workshop is the natural entry point into our Foundation Course or Diploma in Acting for those who want to take it further.

You've got some experience. Now do something with it.
Fridays, 11am-1pm
Scene Study - Intermediate level
This is for actors who've done some work and want to go deeper. Over four weeks, you'll be paired with a scene partner, rehearse a real duologue, and perform it in front of the group. There's no pressure to memorise lines. It's a space to take risks, receive honest direction, and watch your work develop.
You'll work in a group where you'll get real performance time and real feedback, not just a quick note and move on.
Your tutor is Daniel Finlay, a working director and actor who started out backstage at the National Theatre at 15 and has spent his career on both sides of the process. As an actor he's performed at the Lyric and toured nationally. As a director his credits include Jermyn Street Theatre and the Tristan Bates. He knows what good scene work looks like, and he knows how to get you there.
Upcoming date: 3 – 24 April
Places are limited to 8 participants to ensure generous performance time and individual feedback.
