💌 Did you know your emails have a carbon footprint? Even that « Got it, thanks! » adds up more than you’d think... We send so many emails every day - for work, school, or just out of habit - but all of that has an invisible cost. 🌍 Global email usage emits over 150 million tonnes of CO2 per year - nearly as much as the entire carbon footprint of the EU’s digital sector. 😱 And here’s the kicker: 📨 45% of all emails sent worldwide are spam. That means almost half of our inboxes are filled with stuff we don’t read - or barely glance at. All that junk still consumes energy just by existing! To give you an idea: 📧 A single email = ~4g of CO2 📨 A spam to 100 people = 26g 📸 Add a photo or video? Up to 50g! Now multiply that by 376 billion emails a day... Ouch. 😬 So, what can you do? ✅ Short-term tip: Unsubscribe from 5 spam emails today - they’re low-effort, high-impact.
