The ACSEP Conference Committee invites all ACSEP Members plus, clinicians and researchers within the field of sport and exercise medicine, to submit an abstract to be considered for oral, poster or clinical showcase presentations within the 2026 SMA & ACSEP Scientific Conference program. Submissions are being sought for inclusions within the ACSEP academic stream of the Conference program and will feature high quality research in the areas of: – Emerging & High-Impact Research Areas – Injury Prevention & Performance – Public Health & Exercise Medicine Submissions are invited for: – Scientific abstracts – ACSEP Registrar Research Papers – Clinical showcase presentations We encourage you to submit your published research for consideration. Case studies and topic presentations are also encouraged. We look forward to learning more about your ideas and latest findings. Ready to take the next step in Sport and Exercise Medicine? Applications close 15 May for the final ACSEP Entrance Exam sitting of 2026! Apply to sit the exam, happening Saturday 11 July 2026, here: .au/page/forms/application-for-part-1-entry-exam Applicants who successfully complete the ACSEP Entrance Exam and meet all other eligibility requirements will be eligible to apply for the 2027 Specialist Training Program intake. Those offered a place on the program will commence training in February 2027. Congratulations to ACSEP Sport and Exercise Physician Professor Peter Brukner on these published Research articles. Professor Peter Brukner has been involved in a PhD study at La Trobe Sport and Exercise Research Centre looking at the efficacy of the Defeat Diabetes program in the management of Type 2 diabetes. ACSEP President Dan Exeter was in the USA this week, representing the College at the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine @theamssm (AMSSM) Annual Meeting. Thank you to all those who attended the ACSEP MSK Ultrasound Workshop at the home of Rugby Australia, Moore Park in Sydney on Saturday. Facilitated by Stephen Bird and proudly supported by Fujifilm Sonosite, we’ve received some great feedback on the workshop, which enabled attendees to expand their knowledge and skills in diagnosing and treating MSK injuries.
