One of my favorite things about acro is finding every possible opportunity to practice it in real life. Acroyogis see a table and immediately test its sturdiness to see if we can lay on top of it. We do acro on boats, planes, in pools, on the beach, at your party, on rooftops, on cliffs, while climbing, while slacklining—even on hoverboards. Any piece of furniture becomes an option, couches, beds, even your lap. Nowhere is safe… if an acroyogi is nearby, it might just get acro-bombed. Where would you do acro?

Coming back to my roots in LA has been an incredible experience. I carried so many fears about what it might look and feel like. My biggest fear was how much I’ve changed as a person, how much I had to adapt to build a life in Colorado, and whether this new version of me would still fit in LA. I also wondered if returning would feel like a step backward instead of forward. Finally, I was afraid it might feel overwhelming, too fast, too stimulating, too much.
None of those fears became reality.
The moment I got back into the city, it felt natural, almost as if no time had passed at all. Being surrounded by some of my longest friendships reminded me of the years of intention and care I have poured into cultivating meaningful connections. It reminded me that I am valued and that I am loved.
The sunshine on my skin feels like a part of me that has been missing for far too long, I truly thrive in the sun. The beach brings a sense of serenity and peace, a place to gather my thoughts and simply exist. I have always considered myself a mountain girl, but if I am honest, I am a beach girl too.
It took me a long time to realize that my fears were not facts. I hope this inspires you, the next time fear shows up, to question it gently instead of automatically believing it.#takeflight #acroyogilife #facingfears #acroyoga #lifegoals
2016 was one of the most Epic years of my life. It’s the year I began acro and met @acrowithjon who ignited my practice today. It was full of adventure, from Bishop, Alaska, Denali National Park, Moab, Petrified National Park, Sequoia National Park and endless sunsets on the beach. I remember how I felt at that time, there was a sense of purity with life, every moment was something worth cherishing and filled with excitement. Life was about adventure and the company spent along the way. Acro became a passion and changed the tragectory of my life today. Looking back on these images reminds me that the most important thing in life is living it. The person I am today might not be that same version of me in the past, but I might just re-embrace her essence again into 2026!

This year has been a wild ride, a season of transition and new beginnings. For the first time since I began my AcroYoga journey, acro is no longer the main stage of my life. That shift wasn’t intentional, but rather the result of travel, injury, and illness. I’m still recovering from sciatica and back pain, which currently intensify with any acro movement.
It’s been a humbling reminder to revisit who I am without my hobbies, without feeling as strong as I once did, and without the identity that acro shaped around my sense of value and worth. Acro will always live in my soul, and I’m deeply grateful for the countless adventures it has carried me through.
This next chapter invites a deeper focus on pain coaching, new passions like shuffling, a new home in Boulder, Colorado, and the infinite opportunities that come with change. My page may hold less acro content moving forward, but it will always be rooted in the same spirit, sharing the unfolding adventure of where life leads next and the people who embrace it with me. @j_man_moves@kellykathleentaylor
Bucket list destination: checked off! 🙂
During COVID, I rediscovered my love for art as a way to pass the time and stay grounded amid all the chaos and uncertainty in the world. One of the pieces I drew was of Rainbow Mountain, I had always been fascinated by the vibrant images I saw online.
Earlier this year, I finally decided to see it in person, and it did not disappoint. We woke up at 3 a.m. to beat the crowds, it was a misty morning but we arrived at the perfect moment. By the time the rest of the buses showed up, the mountain had completely disappeared into the clouds and was no longer visable.
It was truly special to have that breathtaking view all to ourselves. So grateful for all of life’s wonders. 🌈⛰️
We flipped. We flew. We froze. 🔥💎
Big love to @acroroots and special guest @danimalbridge for guiding us through a day that began with building trust, flowed into learning the poses, and came alive through connection.
From playful lifts to grounding moments in the sauna and cold plunge, every breath was pure Colorado magic.

Today I turn 36, that number feels so strange to me. When I look at that number, It feels scary and it doesn’t match the perception of how I feel. My body and mind still feels like that 26 year old, living life to its full potential. Enjoying each moment as it comes and being open to exploration and taking risks. When I look back on my life, it’s full of enough memories to fill multiple lifetimes, it’s full of color and amazing people. These memories are a reminder that no matter what happens in the future, I am very greatful for the experiences I have had up to this point today. That I have lived a life true to myself, a life I can be proud of. So here’s to a new chapter, new lessons, and new adventures. Thank you to everyone who’s walked any part of this path with me. You’re the ones who make life meaningful.

❤️Kickstarting 2025 with Intention❤️
As the sun rises on a new year, we are reminded of the Māori proverb: “Ka mua, ka muri”—we walk into the future, with eyes fixed on the wisdom of our past.
At The Waka Way, we believe that every step forward begins with honoring where we’ve come from. This January, let’s set intentions rooted in our values: connection, healing, and growth. Whether you’re embarking on a wellness journey, deepening your self-care practice, or seeking balance, remember that each small step is part of a greater voyage.
🌊 Just like the waves, we rise and fall, but we never stop moving forward. This year, we invite you to paddle your waka (vehicle) with purpose. Surround yourself with those who uplift you, and never underestimate the power of consistent, mindful actions.
✨ How will you steer your journey in 2025? Share your intentions in the comments. And sign up at thewakaway.com for our online course that starts mid Jan and let’s inspire each other to start strong.

Get back up!
We all know life has its ups and downs and lately there has been seemingly more challenges present. When I find myself spiraling and gong down a self- critical thought pattern, I know leaning into my values and life’s joys can be the medicine I need.
This last weekend I prioritized friendships, engaging in social activities, nature time and human connection. It was a weekend full of laughter, creativity, adventure, dance and intimacy. It was a good reminder that we have the medicine we need inside of us. We can choose to surrender to our thoughts or we can trust ourself enough to get back up.

Can you guess which direction I am going?
These days I primarily practice Icarian and find my heart and soul loving it. The fear and adrenaline is a real thing but underneath it all lives pure joy. I continue to push past my own mental blocks and find myself in a state of continuous awe.
It’s so fun to meet with @moderntarzan around the world and how quickly we can calibrate together. I get asked all the time how long we have been working with each other and the truth is very little! We only spend brief moments working together at festivals that are spread apart throughout the year. It’s amazing the progress we make in those short moments and I can’t wait to see where we go from here!
