Squad goals AND exam goals ✨
There’s something about testing together that makes the nerves disappear and the smiles bigger.
Acro exams give your dancers built-in benchmarks, something real to work toward, and a reason to celebrate progress that isn’t just recital or comp day.
But the real win? Watching them realize they’re capable of more than they thought. They showed up, did the thing, and now they know what they’re made of. That confidence carries into everything else they do.

Two hypermobile dancers. Same training, similar bodies. One thrives for 20 years. The other is in chronic pain by 16. What’s actually different?
Dr. Linda Bluestein is back for Episode 134 and we’re finally going directly at that question. We get into yellow-light warning signs teachers are missing, what hanging on joints looks like in the studio, proprioception tools you can use in a regular class, and how to help students pay attention to their bodies without spiraling into fear.
Every acro and dance teacher needs this one. Listen now! Link in Bio.
Next up, meet Dylan! 🤸
“The connections are the real tricks.” 💙
At 15, Dylan is already training at Manhattan Youth Ballet, Horizons Dance Center, and Brooklyn Gymnastics Center, and moving across multiple styles, with acro and contemporary holding the top spot. He loves acro for what it builds, not just physically but mentally: strength, flexibility, coordination, and resilience.
And he gets it. Like really gets it. When Dylan talks about the connections being the real tricks, he is speaking our language. That is exactly what AcroDance is. It lives in the in-between, where boundaries disappear and skill meets artistry in the transitions.
That kind of understanding at 15? That is what we look for in an Ambassador. Dylan wants to use this platform to motivate younger dancers to push past limits and believe in themselves, and we have zero doubt he will do exactly that.
So glad to have you with us, Dylan! 💙
@dylanmanashirov
@spotlightdanceworksmi gets it. 🤸🏼Acro class is where kids take chances, build confidence, and find out what they’re made of. They’re an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio, ✨and it shows. AcroDance Pre School Certification is this Saturday. 🎯Only 2 spots left.
We are so excited to introduce our 2026 Acrobatic Arts Ambassadors! First up, meet Emmy! 🤸
“Well it’s not wrong.” 💙 When you’re 11 years old and already logging 15 hours a week between Fusion Force Studio and twice weekly training at Dynamic Aerial and Acrobatics at Acrofit Aerial Fitness, across jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, acro, contortion, tumbling, cane work and silk, it’s safe to say this is not a hobby.
Emmy comes to us from BC, Canada. She’s completed her Acrobatic Arts exams through Level 8 and is working toward Pre Professional 1. And she’s already volunteering at her studio to student teach, because her goal is to become an acro teacher one day.
Emmy is a natural for this. She joined the AcroFIT challenge and she just gets what it means to represent. That passion and purpose is exactly what we look for in an Ambassador. We are so happy to have you, Emmy! 💙
