We’re so excited to officially introduce ourselves as the new owners of The Vale Aerial Arts (formerly Peak Aerial Fitness). 🤍
Ash McDonald will be stepping into the role of Studio Director, overseeing the day-to-day operations, programming, and community experience here in Kelowna. Having been part of the studio since its opening in 2021, Ash is passionate about creating a welcoming, creative, and technically strong environment for students of all ages and levels.
Joining her is long-time aerial artist, educator, and collaborator Mel (@acro.mel ) , who will be leading Global Partnerships and helping expand The Vale’s connections within the wider aerial and circus arts community through workshops, retreats, training opportunities, and international collaborations.
Together, we’re incredibly excited for this next chapter and grateful to continue building on the amazing community that already exists here. We can’t wait to share what’s ahead. ✨

After years as Peak Aerial Fitness, we’re excited to share that the studio is rebranding as The Vale Aerial Arts.
While the name is changing, the heart of the studio remains the same: the same community, creativity, and love for aerial arts that has made this space so special.
We’d also like to thank Toni Grant for building Peak Aerial Fitness and creating the foundation we’re grateful to continue forward.

Drop to single ankle! Because you know I love ankle drops! ❤️ You don’t need to take the stirrup for the drop but I find it cleaner. 📝 note: regular foot lock doesn’t work well here as you’re dropping forward.

Flying Russian transitions to Russian 👍 you can use the same exit/entrance here. Granted I’m not a huge fan of flying Russian but it can be cool 👍 I prefer the side planche split personally 😉
📌 flying Russian prefers hands more at 45 degrees up high, where Russian is more centred at 90, so finding a balanced handgrip is helpful
📌 entrance to side planche split - I tried spinning both directions and counter clockwise for this side (left split) was more comfortable as I shifted off centre more clockwise, but both are possible. Note using my ankle to find the hoop to feed my leg out as the hoop will rotate when you’re in a faster spin

Front salto twist front salto! Super cool variation with lots of teaching benefits too 🤩 📌 The feeling here is similar to that of infinity rolls/wheel downs, where you’re legs need to be active as you rotate especially for the second rotation.
