In connection with Geir Moseid’s exhibition, I have been working on developing an art library at Buskerud Kunstsenter. Here you’ll find a carefully curated selection of art and photography books that reflect the themes and working methods explored in the exhibition. The selection ranges from reference works to published books featuring the artist’s own work, such as Plucked. The books I have chosen highlight different techniques, approaches, and interpretations, offering a deeper insight into what you encounter in the exhibition. @geirmoseid @buskerudkunstsenter

Last week to see the exhibition ‘Shaping the Unclaimed’ I co-curated with Kati Ots for @tallinn_photomonth The exhibition takes place at different locations around the Kaubamaja Department Store intersection in Tallinn. In an urban environment saturated with an overwhelming amount of stimuli, the project seeks ways in which art can offer moments of relief and open new perspectives on what we see and experience daily. Artists in the exhibition are: Mia Dudek (PL), Giovanna Petrocchi (IT), Eva Stenram (SE/GB), Mare Tralla (EE), Elo Vahtrik (EE), Sigrid Viir (EE) Big thanks to @kullalaas @lkouhkna And to participating artists @giopetrocchi @sigridvigrid @mia.dudek @maretralla @elo4everr

Elo Vahtrik is one of the six artists part of the international urban space exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed during @tallinn_photomonth 2025 that opened this weekend, curated by @katiots and @trinestephensen . We spoke to her about her artistic practice, link in bio. «At the beginning there is an idea, a noticing – a feeling that disturbs. I dive into research, into obsession. I deconstruct. But in order to «create» an artwork I always have to put the deconstructed pieces together, often in a weird or unexpected fashion.» Elo Vahtrik @elo4everr @tallinn_photomonth

Mare Tralla is one of the six artists part of the international urban space exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed during @tallinn_photomonth 2025 that begins this weekend, curated by @katiots and @trinestephensen . We spoke to her about her artistic practice, link in bio. «The work for Tallinn Photomonth is a site specific installation and in one way you could say that it is a study of form and movement as it is a relational to the sculpture HĂ€marik (Dusk) at Tallinn city centre. I studied the form of the sculpture to create ‘a shadow’ and add some movement to the static sculpture this way. However more important for me is what I hope my work will convey. I hope it is a rupture to the space, that it provides a small queer disturbance to the very sterile environment, that it asks few questions about the representation of bodies in public spaces and in the society at large, and the violence women’s and queer bodies experience daily.» Mare Tralla @maretralla @tallinn_photomonth

Sigrid Viir is one of the six artists part of the international urban space exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed during @tallinn_photomonth 2025 that begins this weekend, curated by @katiots and @trinestephensen . We spoke to her about her artistic practice, link in bio. «I tend to have the need to formalize my photos quite often as spatial objects. Sure it depends on the concept but in most cases the frame for me is part of the overall idea of the artwork or an extra sentence, a reference and if the image is not hanging on the wall the viewer has an opportunity to walk around it and already have a bodily connection to it. I think it is easier to relate or have a “conversation” with objects because there is a tactile element to it and we know how to relate to objects.» Sigrid Viir @sigridvigrid @tallinn_photomonth

Giovanna Petrocchi is one of the six artists part of the international urban space exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed during @tallinn_photomonth 2025 that begins this weekend, curated by @katiots and @trinestephensen . We spoke to her about her artistic practice, link in bio. «I mainly use collages, but I recently went from collages to more sculptural work, by using 3D printing. This is not because I think of photography as limiting, on the contrary I believe photography can also be other things. A 3D object, for example, is a 3D print, while collage has a tridimensional aspect, too. We live in a period when photography has changed a lot, so I think it’s good to make photography communicate with other mediums and let it become something else.» Giovanna Petrocchi Read full interview here: /giovanna-petrocchi @giopetrocchi @tallinn_photomonth

Eva Stenram is one of the six artists part of the international urban space exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed during @tallinn_photomonth 2025 that begins this weekend, curated by @katiots and @trinestephensen . We spoke to her about her artistic practice, link in bio. «Mostly, I work with found photographic images. These images are scanned, rephotographed, or otherwise reimagined in my work. This already existing world of images is the main inspiration of my work but I also take inspiration from literature, film and art history. Currently I am reading a lot of psychoanalysis. I am interested in how we look at images; what is this process of looking and viewing, the observation and exchange between the object and the viewer? How do we digest pictures?« Eva Stenram Read the full interview here: /eva-stenram

Looking forward to be in Tallinn next week for the opening of Tallinn Photomonth. I am co-curating the exhibition Shaping the Unclaimed with Kati Ots, the exhibition opens in six locations around the Kaubamaja department store’s intersection. In an urban environment saturated with an overwhelming amount of stimuli, the project seeks ways in which art can offer moments of relief and open new perspectives on what we see and experience daily. Six site-specific works will intervene with the urban space on multiple levels, turning up both on the usual walking paths as well as in places that tend to be often overlooked. Artists participating in the urban space exhibition: Elo Vahtrik (EE), Eva Stenram (SE/GB), Giovanna Petrocchi (IT), Mare Tralla (EE), Mia Dudek (PL) and Sigrid Viir (EE). The exhibition is curated by: Kati Ots (EE) and Trine Stephensen (NO). đŸ“· Eva Stenram, Drape XVII, 2025

The zine for the show with Emma BĂ€cklund đŸ–€ with a commissioned text by George King. It has been fun to make, with some repetition to what was already seen in the show and some new images that behave as an extension to the show. @bolette.space #zine #publication
