The SAVE Act and SAVE America Act spread false information about elections and our immigrant community members to create fear and distrust. These bills are designed to keep eligible voters from going to the polls. 21 MILLION Americans would be blocked from voting. Citizens of color would be hit the hardest. The truth? Our current election laws already make sure only eligible voters can vote. Our elections already work and are safe and fair. Don't let these bills disenfranchise 21 million voters. Tell your Senator: Vote NO on anti-voter bills. Protect our right to vote. @senfettermanpa

What is due process, really? We hit the streets to ask people one simple question. Some knew a lot about why this constitutional right matters. Others only knew a little—no worries, we gave the answer because due process impacts all of us. Tomorrow, we’re making “5/14 Due Process Day” official by starting conversations, uplifting voices, and reminding people that justice should never depend on power, status, or circumstance. 📬 New report from Common Cause Pennsylvania & @aclupa shows that counties with strong notice & cure policies have much higher mail-in ballot acceptance rates. This means they do a better job of counting every eligible vote! Every PA voter has the right to receive notice, and voters deserve the chance to fix honest mistakes so their voice can still be heard! Know your rights. Know your county. VOTE by or on May 19. aclupa.org/noticeandcure or link in bio.

Mail voting has come a long way in PA! Back in September, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania ruled in Center for Coalfield Justice v. Washington County Board of Elections that mail-in ballot voters are entitled to be notified if they make a disqualifying mistake on their ballot packet. This is a win for voters and a huge improvement because it ensures an opportunity to cast a provisional ballot on Election Day to protect your vote. 😎

🔍Why does notice and cure matter? When every county follows the best practices, every eligible vote can be counted. Voting is how we use our power. Protect your power by knowing your county’s notice and cure policy so that your voice is not lost if you make an error on your mail ballot.

Pennsylvania made a noticeable change. Counties are now required to tell mail-in voters if there is a disqualifying mistake on their ballot. By receiving timely notice, voters have a chance to cast a provisional ballot on Election Day, so their vote will count. With primary election day coming up in a week, it’s important for registered voters to know their rights and what to do if they receive notice that their ballot was flagged for an error. Making sure every eligible vote counts helps keep our democracy strong. 💪 🌟VOTE by or on May 19. 📬Today, May 12, is the last day to request a mail ballot.

Let’s be real, we’re all human! We make mistakes! And a small mistake shouldn’t cost you your voice. That’s why knowing your rights and your options on Election Day matters. Even if your county doesn’t allow mail ballot curing (the opportunity to fix small errors on your ballot before Election Day), you can still cast a provisional ballot as a safety net to protect your vote. P.S. Thanks, PA Supreme Court, for ruling on the side of voters. 🫶
