Greetings Ghouls and Goblins,
Here’s a little change of pace with some fanart of my favorite band of all time, Lord Huron. This a doodle made on the back of a note card I’ve kept for several years and through many journeys, this year following me as I travelled across the Pacific to study at @otagopolycommunication . I’ve been on a bit of a break these last few weeks as I’ve finished illustrating a book for my last ever school project, presented it and prepared it for my class exhibition, finally receiving my bachelor’s in communication design!
And even though I’ve been a bit quiet on here, I’ve definitely noticed all you newcomers and viewers of my work, to which I say, THANK YOU!!! It’s really encouraging to see everyone’s interest and enthusiasm for these projects, and I’m looking forward to continuing to share this world with you with more animations and art. There is much more of Cryptid County to be revealed, so feel free to stick around. I’ll be posting semi-frequently these next few weeks as I take some time to explore New Zealand, so you better keep an eye out for some upcoming animations 👁️

THE FORTRESS
Formerly the home of some unimportant rich jerk who was probably doing some boring ass job like being a lawyer or doctor or whatever other career that doesn’t exist anymore, this rickety old house tucked away in the secluded wooded hills of Cryptid County is now known as THE FORTRESS.
A beacon of assured safety and outrageous blowouts, The Fortress is a vital pillar in the stability of the County’s community. Currently home to the local smash-hit punk band BUNKER DOWN!, The Fortress is THE spot for literal underground house shows, these days all conducted in basements to prevent unwanted attention from the things that lurk outside.
The house is fortified with iron gates around the ground floor doors and windows, a watchtower to keep a vigilant eye out for cryptids, and an extensive radio broadcast system to send and receive warnings to other major houses. You better believe the only things getting in or out of this place alive are humans.
For now.
