Ihre Kompositionen bewegen sich zwischen zerbrechlicher Stille, melancholischem Storytelling und hämmernder Wucht. Dabei lassen sie sich von keiner Konvention aufhalten und scheuen sich weder vor Surf- oder Desert-Rock-Ausflügen noch vor überirdischen Ambient-Flächen. Die als Covid-Projekt in einem düsteren Bautzner Keller entstandenen CORREO bespielen nun schon seit über 5 paar Jahren die Bühnen und Keller dieser Welt. Wer sich bislang mit dem Material namhafter Genre-Größen wie natürlich Godspeed You! Black Emperor, aber auch If These Trees Could Talk oder Russian Circles auseinandergesetzt hat, wird sich im Wirken des Vierers wiederfinden können. /correo.band URALT ist eine psychedelische Post-Punk/Doom-Metal-Band aus Berlin. Gegründet von Tommy (ex-Tanning Bats) und AL (ex-Milemarker) als Pandemie-Aufnahmeprojekt, nahm das Duo unzählige Songs auf und begann anschließend, als Gitarren- und Schlagzeug-Duo live zu spielen. Kurz darauf kam Lena (ex-Sleep Lab) am Low-End-Synth dazu. Alle waren auch schon bei Big Eater aktiv. Zwei EPs sind bisher auf Bandcamp erschienen, Tapes sind bei Konzerten erhältlich.

ANARKUSS is a Berlin-based band composed of AL (who’s played in bands like MILEMARKER, HELLBENDER and CHALLENGER) and ANNEEE (who’s played in bands like BIG EATER and CAREBENDER). Their music has been described as “combat folk” and “experimental acoustic punk.” They have released two tapes on their own label and a self-titled CD/CS on Exotic Fever Records (Philadelphia, USA). The recordings are a documentation; the real point of the band is to play live. The motivation is to share music and ideas, connect with like-minded people, and participate in strengthening the infrastructure of underground alternative culture that opposes the mainstream. anarkuss.bandcamp.com Motherfucifer is Prague based dark folk duo with roots in the local DIY punk scene. Instead of epigonism of traditional folk music, they explore sounds and stories of their own lived myths. Anarkuss and a solo banjo set by Jakub from Motherfucifer, live in Berlin last night at our favourite non-syndicated spot, presented by Hoffentlich ist mein Fahrrad noch da. I helped out with the sound and took some pictures – and I bought a tape and a shirt. Great show all around. Anarkuss and Jakub are on tour together. Try to catch them if they come through your town. Here’s an otherworldly @achievableaura comic that has landed in our show. Al Burian Untitled (four cartoon panels) (2022) Pen on paper, approx. 5 × 4 in. USD 1,000 The untitled four-panel grid submitted for the exhibition is part of an ongoing body of pen-and-pencil drawings that contribute to Space Waste, a loosely interconnected series of comic narratives employing familiar science-fiction tropes—aliens, robots, UFOs—as metaphors for social and political critique. In this work, recurring characters reappear, including a cactus and a UFO engaged in an argument about immigration and xenophobia, echoing a longer storyline involving extraterrestrials near Area 51 abducting cacti under the mistaken assumption that they represent Earth’s dominant life form. Formally, the drawing is generated through an intuitive, automatic process shaped by the pre-given structure of the four-panel grid, with narrative coherence subordinated to improvisation and non-linear meaning-making. Al Burian is a musician, writer, and visual artist whose work bridges punk’s DIY ethos and the intimate observations of literary nonfiction. Raised in North Carolina and currently based in Berlin, he received his BFA from Reed College. Best known as the cofounder of the influential post-hardcore band Milemarker and the creator of the cult-beloved zine Burn Collector, Burian has contributed essays, stories, comics, and criticism to publications including The Brooklyn Rail, Punk Planet, Utne Reader, and VICE.
