A friend tipped us off about a swarm looking for a new home in Carbondale and we were able to safely relocate them to an open hive here on the ranch. So far they seem to be happy and we’re happy to have more pollinators on our property!
The cows are back!! This season marks our 10th year of partnership with Cap-K Ranch, a family cattle ranch up the Frying Pan Valley that raises 100% grass fed beef.
Every spring, a group of their herd comes to rotationally graze our pastures. They play are integral role in land stewardship here, mowing pastures evenly, cycling nutrients, and aiding in carbon sequestration.

Join us at Rock Bottom Ranch on May 17 for our Butterfly Picnic! It’s going to be a magical afternoon filled with butterfly netting, strawberry snacks, and a live butterfly release. 🍓✨
We’re also thrilled to have Dr. Lohman sharing the mysteries of Monarch migration, with live Spanish translation available.
