Final preparations to our steering wheel before the Greenpower F24+ Race at the JP Blanch Lotus Hethel Heat yesterday, where the team placed first in the F24+ kit car class.
Our steering wheels are completely designed and manufactured by the team at school – with prepreg carbon fibre shells, carbon-reinforced additive manufacturing and custom PCBs, electronics and software.
Built to high precision and able to withstand open-wheel racing in all conditions, in total they each comprise more than 400 components, including 38 different types of stainless steel fasteners, courtesy of Accu Components!
