It’s particularly meaningful of course because Blackwell’s and Alice in Wonderland are Oxford institutions, and I’m so looking forward to doing an event at the Broad Street shop on 14th December to celebrate!

I have quite a few books on the go at the moment at various stages of drafts and edits and promotion. I do lots of events and I have a podcast and this guy is how I’m able to. Adam looks after almost all of the rest of our life (even more so since I hurt my knee so badly) and is my constant source of support and calm. He also produces the podcast and reads all my books early so I can talk through them with him. It may not be chic to be so sincere on the Internet but he’s really just the best and after a year of my bust-up knee and back to back deadlines, I’m feeling grateful. (And do you know what IS chic is men who love ambitious women.)
Had a lovely day signing paperbacks across London while locked in conflict with bookshop lighting. Here are the photos from the places I won that battle, my losing fights will not be publicly shared. Who needs more than four photos of me holding my book anyway? I mean let’s be honest who even needs one, but I’ve got a book to promote so thanks for humouring me ✌🏼

Alice With a Why, illustrated by @matthewlland , is officially out in paperback today and I celebrated with a day signing in central London. There are many, many, many signed copies across Foyles & central Waterstones including at @waterstonesgowerstreet where I got to have a go in their photo booth (I didn’t realise we’d started for the first one). Thank you so much for all the love and kindness about being children’s book of the month!!

Deeply unchic experience of flicking through the Big Book paper on the tube on the way home and reaching a GIANT photo of my own face and trying to immediately close it. Alas did not manage before the woman next to me noticed and gave me a very odd look.
But deeply grateful to be able to attend Big Book to speak to retailers about Read Me Like a Book, which is out next year!
