Derbyshire Makes, Heanor was a glorious day! The back hall @infinite_wellbeing_cic was full of printing, pattern and colour. The highlight was working alongside the amazing @karen_logan_art and seeing her work. Thank you to everyone who came and spotted the brickwork in Heanor and made their own tile. Also thank you to the Infinite Wellbeing crochet groups at both Ripley and Heanor for the yarn bombing - it definitely made a lot of people smile! @derbyshiremakes @artsderbyshire @derbyshirecountycouncil @derbyshirecc @wearelocal #derbyshiremakes #heritage #community #derbyshirecountycouncil #creativity making derbyshire art place Funded by @derbyshiremakes and @derbyshirecountycouncil

Heanor's Patterned Past Lino printing workshop was a riot of patterns, colour and creativity. The tiles were based on the Victorian patterned brickwork around Heanor and each person designed, cut and printed their own pattern. Join me on 2nd May at Infinite Wellbeing Community Centre for some Indian block printing and a pattern trail around Heanor as part of the Derbyshire Makes Festival.   @derbyshiremakes @artsderbyshire @derbyshirecountycouncil @derbyshirecc  @wearelocal  @abywillow #derbyshiremakes #heritage #community #derbyshirecountycouncil #creativity

I am so excited to be taking part in Derbyshire Makes 2026. My project Heanor's Patterned Past will be focussing on the beautiful, decorative brickwork found in and around Heanor. I will be delivering a lino printing workshop in April and on the day of the Festival, My 2nd, I will be based at @infinite_wellbeing_cic with family friendly printing and an interactive trail. #derbyshiremakes2026 #we_are_makeshift #derbyshirecountycouncil #infinitewellbeing #abywillow

Community Christmas Craft Day @infinite_wellbeing_cic was epic. So many lovely families joined us to start getting prepared for Christmas. We made houses, cards, tags, decorations, sweet treats and wrapping paper. To echo the words of a nine year old girl who came along and crafted - "When is the next one!?"
