ABYSS returns to Open Ground for a full venue activation exploring low frequency ritual, ambient immersion, and sound system communion. Moving between breathwork, gong resonance, dub architecture and deep listening hypnosis, the night holds a continuous passage through embodiment and altered perception. The evening starts with Spectral Radiance Breathwork, a closed pre program session guided by Harman Holiday and Darwin. Limited to 35 participants, this intimate workshop weaves Conscious Connected Breathwork with immersive sound and live resonance, creating a grounded entry point into the experience. From there, ABYSS follows a continuous arc rather than a sequence of isolated sets. The lobby opens at 19:30 for arrival, with the program beginning at 20:00. Guests are encouraged to enter from the start to experience the full trajectory of the night. Attendees are guided in with Kā’s live gong synthesis, followed by an opening concert from Harman Holiday. This dissolves into an ambient set from dBridge before expanding outward through the full spectrum of the lineup. In the Lobby, Ground Tactics operate throughout the night, offering spontaneous one-on-one activations with the audience. These short encounters focus on somatic co-regulation through touch, sound, and attention, incorporating tuning forks and subtle physical guidance to bring awareness back into the body.

Saturday, 09.05.2026 Abyss at Open Ground presents ground tactics Light Body Activation (psycho-acoustic art performance) all night long in the lobby Ground Tactics Berlin-based units (performers; Storm, Ana, Erik, Colin), will be present to provide tools, inform, and perform on-site, spontaneous Light Body Activations throughout ABYSS with attendees. This performance involves 5-10 minutes one-on-one ( sitting ) somatic co-regulation with individuals in the the lobby, by applying (tuning forks) sound propelled within the body, ( through bone structures ) offering the experience of harmony & inner coherence. A sonic practice that activates mindful culture, resonance and balance.culture, resonance and balance.

Saturday, 09.05.2026 ABYSS at Open Ground opens the portal 8-9pm with Kā (Storm Willow Hartley) At the edge of contemporary noise, Kā sustains an ongoing dialogue between sound art and somatic praxis. Gong x Synthesis is a live transmission that connects the art of gong, a tradition of sound rooted in metallurgy, tuning, and immanence, with contemporary anti-structural noise practices. Focused on the gong as a medium for crossing thresholds, Kā explores how sustained vibration and dense harmonic layering can shift perception, dissolve tension, and open liminal spaces for listening. And to @ladyilhem for the surprise serenade for my birthday to close the breathwork 🪶✨ ABYSS was born out of my curiosity and research into how low-end frequencies affect the body, connecting breathwork, and restorative movement with the dancefloor and exploring why a soundsystem can generate such a strong sense of unity. Some things I have learned along the way: bass frequencies are unusually long, which means they travel further and move more easily through matter. They reach the ear but also resonate through tissue and bone, stimulate the vagus nerve, and can shift brain activity into slower, more meditative states. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering stress hormones and creating a sense of bodily safety and feeling grounded. When experienced together on a soundsystem, these vibrations create entrainment. Our heartbeats, breath and movement begin to sync, forming a temporary field of physical and social coherence 💏 TLDR: the cure for everything is more bass 🔊 Next May 09 @openground.club 🪼

@abyss______________________ resurfaces for a Sunday psychedelic bass ritual on the @digitalsteppazsoundsystem in a *new* secret location. For this edition, I’ve invited one of my all-time favorite artists, The Untouchables, the masters of subterranean pressure who blur dub, drum & bass, and halftime into hypnotic, ceremonial moods ++ two of my favorite mind-bending selectors: re:ni and Marylou. Since April, I have been studying sound medicine and breathwork with the goal of bringing these practices into my events. This edition marks my first group breathwork and sound session, which I will assist alongside my mentor, Harman Holiday. We’ll also be bringing back Sonic Serenity with JuJu and DJ Pete, and I’ll join Pete for our first-ever B2B to guide you through this beautiful Jivanmukti practice.
