WOWOWOWOW I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY! This was my favorite experience as an artist I’ve ever had. I fully expressed a major part of my soul and I am still so sensitive to the fact I was given the opportunity to share this because of
@actorstheatre and
@loufringefest . I can’t begin to fully express the emotions surrounding this piece and how life was imitating the art to an extreme degree while writing this and fabricating for this and just everything. Man what a crazy ride.
I could not have done any of this without my team. First I’d like to thank my my husband
@mootenantdeng for being the only other person (or rather creature since he played the giant spider). It’s funny that the sweetest person I know played a character representing fear, navigating through all of my emotions with me through the process.
Next is
@indiez55 and
@katemast28 . I couldn’t have built Critter, my robot buddy, without Lincoln. It was amazing, fun, difficult, horrifying, stressful, and one of the coolest things we’ve done. He broke 2 times last minute and I had to rewrite my play and it was a whole thing, but Kate learned how to solder and they both stayed up until like 7am one night and saved the play. Just insane that I have friends like this.
AND
@thombatts OMG my favorite musician to work with in town. He is absolutely brilliant and fun and one of my favorite people on this planet. He’s dj’d all of my big events in adulthood and wrote all of the music for this play and I just want him along with me for every piece I ever do. Thank you so much. The song you’re hearing with this reel is an original song by him and we used it for the outro.
Painters are myself,
@ric_cat_momma ,
@cokehoechanel ,
@robertgividen , and the wonderfully talented
@el.frazier . They are all so incredibly skilled and kind and not only helped with paint, but just as importantly moral support lol
I’d also like to thank my sweet mom for sewing the sets.
Thank you
@infinitybuildsit for letting me use your space
None of this would be available for you all to see if we didn’t have
@calebperryphotography and his team to capture this event. Thank you so much Caleb for taking such beautiful
