Tomorrow is the 201st anniversary of the debut of Beethoven's quartet op. 127, and we're taking to @beethoven_haus_bonn to celebrate!
Together with Tobias Bleek and our beloved teacher @eckartrunge_cello we will dive deep into this fantastic masterpiece, whose first performance was allegedly so bad that it made critics question if Beethoven had actually finally lost his mind. Let's hope we can do a bit better 🤪

‚Neue Bahnen‘ (New Paths) our first lecture recital, together with my dear colleague Tobias Bleek and my wonderful master students the award-winning Absalon String Quartet, exploring Beethoven’s Op. 127. What a fantastic, yet still underrated masterpiece. All movements are true gems, especially the magical slow movement one of the greatest all-time favourites!
Thanks to Heinrich Heine University and Robert Schumann Hochschule for co-hosting this collaborative project of musicology and performance!
Looking forward to our second shot at Beethovenhaus Bonn March 6th 2026!

We are so happy to share that we just won the 2. prize as well as the Audience Prize at the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2025! 💥
We had a great and intense week in Trondheim with wonderful atmosphere throughout - a big thank you to everyone involved in the competition for making it such a nice experience💙
And a special thank you to the audience for voting us the Audience Prize and allowing us to come back to Trondheim to see you again for next years festival - we are so exited!!⚡️
