I used 8 colors of AGF solids (colors listed below) and love how it turned out using the gray background. It’s not a typical background choice for me!
This is the throw size Hello Washi (pattern includes 5 sizes, baby to queen). I used FQ for this one but you can also use 2.5” strips, 5” squares, 10” squares, FE, and yardage.

This is the throw sized Hello Washi (there are five sizes in the pattern) and I used 14 fat eighths for this sample. You can also use:
5” squares
2 1/2” strips
10” squares
fat eighths
fat quarters
or yardage (1/4 yards)
This pattern is SUPER precut-friendly!

I’m making the darling Pink Lady Patchwork Apple block pattern by @burlapandblossompatterns

This block is going to be the focal point of a scrappy red + white quilt I’m planning 🤔

I used a Layer Cake of Honeyed Horizon fabrics (by @catchingstitches ) for this lap sized Runway quilt. The pattern also uses 2.5” strips, fat eighths, fat quarters, or yardage.
Honeyed Horizon is Keri’s first fabric line with @modafabrics and it’s a good one!
The Runway pattern is a pretty quick pattern to sew up, and it has 7 size options included.

Ten more done - pretty good progress for one weekend!
I have 116 hexie flowers finished now, and I estimate that I’ll need about 200 for a 55” x 60” throw sized quilt. Not sure how I feel about ONLY being a little over half way done….🫤 but also 🎉?
▪️I’m using Christmas (and Christmas-colored) prints from my stash and scrap bins.
▪️These are all hand sewn using EPP (english paper piecing) techniques, with 1” hexie papers.

I’ve been loving all the pink and red quilts in my feed lately and I thought I’d add to it.
This is the lap sized Midtown quilt made with Lovestruck fabric from waaaay back in 2024 (doesn’t 2024 feel like forever ago??)
I used 12 fat eighths for this lap size Midtown but pattern also uses:
▪️2 1/2” strips
▪️Fat quarters
▪️1/4 yard cuts
▪️and scraps!
Midtown uses shortcut piecing techniques to help those rows sew up pretty fast. Scrappy version uses super basic foundation piecing (it’s a really fun scrap buster pattern!)

I’ve been making hexie flowers using Christmas prints (from my scraps and stash) and I need to finally decide what to do with them.
▪️option 1️⃣: Add some white spacer hexagons in between blocks
▪️option 2️⃣: Sew blocks together with no spacers in between
I’m using 1” EPP hexagon papers to make these hexie flowers and so far I have about 35 blocks done. I’m trying to make at least 3 each day.
Once I decide which layout to use then I can do the math to figure out how many hexie flowers I’ll need for a throw size quilt.

This is the lap sized Midtown and used just 18 precut 2.5” strips. I’m using a line called Dilly Dally @maywoodstudio and I paired it with a nice bright solid white for the background.
I’ve had this project on my to-do list for several months now and it feels good to get it done 🙌🏻!
