I spent New Years a little differently this year, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 💖 2025 was a year of transition for me. I had lost my job and bought my first home with my boyfriend a little over a year ago. I was so scared of not knowing what was next, but I gave myself the time to process the change. I spent so much time with the people I love and I can confidently say it was one of the best years of my life so far. After spending a week in the Redwood Forest with my new friends, I feel like I left with a full heart and a clear path ahead of me. Thank you to these amazing women for sharing such an abundance of love and reminding us all to be our most authentic selves. Here’s to 2026! 🎊 p.s. I hope this year is good to you 🫶 📸 Creds for the first pic: @maryloumusic3

In case you missed your chance to see the northern lights the last two nights, I went out and filmed a time-lapse to share a bit of the magic with you. I drove out to Touch the Sky Prairie, just northwest of Luverne, and captured hundreds of photos—not knowing if I’d get anything. Needless to say, the results exceeded my expectations. This is the first time in years I’ve decided to film something that expresses my love for cinematography. When my career took a huge pivot a year ago, the thought of doing any kind of filmmaking made me feel sad and angry. I felt like I had failed. I was so burnt out from constantly pouring all my energy into my job that it took a huge toll on my mental health. So I stopped. Instead, I started taking more photos, spending time in nature, and making new memories with the people I care about. I remembered why I wanted to be a filmmaker in the first place— to share the beautiful things in this life we tend to miss. With how scary the world is these days, it’s more important than ever to keep making your art. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to exist. 💜 . . . . #northernlights #auroraborealis #cinematography #timelapse #naturephotography

Here are a few other photos I took around San Francisco during my trip. I’m so grateful the sun came out during my first day visiting the Bay Area. Also.. sea lions might be my new favorite animal 🌞🦭

I love how giddy I become every time I get a chance to stand under the northern lights. I got up so fast out of bed and decided to test out some new gear (which did not disappoint) 💖

Last month, I traveled to the UK for the first time in six years. This time around, we primarily visited Edinburgh, Scotland, and made a brief stop in London for a few days. It’s safe to say that the UK has my whole heart, and I’m so grateful for all the new memories and friends I made on this trip. Of course, I had to take as many photos as possible—so prepare yourself 😅🫶

Took a little detour after my work trip this week to enjoy some nature therapy! It’s so easy for me to get caught up in the chaos that I forget to live a little. This year so far has taught me to embrace the opportunities and not let my anxiety hold me back from enjoying life. 💛 . . . #badlandsnationalpark #naturephotography #southdakota
