April 16-22, 2026, we welcome back to the West Coast, the godfather of queer tango, Augusto LaMarshall from Buenos Aires, for a Queer Tango Intensive: private lessons, workshops, performances, practicas, milongas, socials and all the love and joy we can fit in the room. Augusto is also a featured artist at the amazing Miami Queer Tango Festival, @conexionqueertangomiami , April 9-12. He's an amazing teacher, founder and organizer of queer tango in BA, a truly gifted gem of the queer tango world, and he's not in the USA often. Catch him on the east or west coast, or both if you can, while he is here in April.

What what.. yes, Luna returns! Luna Beller-Tadiar (she/they) is a mixed Filipinx-US-American queer dancer, multi-media artist, choreographer, and scholar. Anchored in the international queer tango community since 2018, she has since interpreted, organized, danced, or assistant taught for queer tango festivals in Valencia, Paris, Berlin, New York, and Buenos Aires. Luna has taught introductory queer tango series or workshops at Duke University, McGill University, the Dance Studies Association Conference, and American Dance Festival Studios. She currently teaches queer tango regularly at The Center for LGBT Life in her hometown of NYC, with @qpdnyc . As a queer tango teacher Luna aims to facilitate access to our own bodies; bodily connection and listening; and a queer-feminist dance environment grounded in queer culture-making and in the history and present of tango in Buenos Aires and globally. When one manor of the queer tango kingdom welcomes another, the tango fairy sings, bakes a cake and shows up ready to dance. Some details about Em. Em (any pronouns!): I’ve been dancing tango since 2012 and have had the honor of teaching since 2022! My approach to how I teach and dance is centered on dance as a form of conversation. For me, movement is a language. I am currently based in Durham, NC where I organize a chapter of Queer Tango alongside a charming little collection of queers.
