A morning fishing corvina with Gonçalo
The day we woke up at 4 a.m. and showed up at the harbor, hoping to convince a local fisherman to take us out to sea. What we didn’t expect was to meet Gonçalo: a 28-year-old, self-made fisherman carrying on his family’s legacy.
Boots on and wearing an undeniably charming fisherman’s hat, he didn’t hesitate for a second to take two random girls along to check the lines. After the morning’s work, we wrapped things up with a proper post-shift breakfast: fresh mackerel sashimi, right on the beach.
