We never quite thought we’d be here after only four and a bit years.
It’s been important to us that as we grow, we remain in control of the brand and what we do. It was one of the reasons we took on a new studio in 2024, so we could unify everything under one roof.
In many ways, working with Trev was a full-circle moment for us as we went back to how we started out, only this time in our own studio. A step back into the preppy side of the brand.
People will say all sorts of things about how to start and grow a brand, but truthfully, the hardest part is staying true to why you started in the first place. For us, that’s been delivering quality contemporary menswear that’s designed to last.
We will never lose sight of that, or the community who have got us this far. Those who have been here since the very first drop, and those joining us more recently. That’s why in this launch there are a few online exclusives, pieces just for you, our members, not available elsewhere.
Our second drop of the year launches today, 4pm BST for a:b | members.

This is what eight months of denim development looks like.
What you’re looking at isn’t one stage, it’s a snapshot of the entire process. Wash trial samples, rejected leg panels, tech packs, hardware, label samples, every part of it laid out.
We started with wash panels and ran multiple trials, testing different tints, sprays and finishes. Four to five rounds across different leg panels, refining everything until both washes were exactly where they needed to be.
Then the details. Multiple versions of the leather back tab, worked through and adjusted until final. Custom buttons and rivets. Monogram embroidery on the pocket. A removable string, considered down to how it sits against the denim.
Finally, we have two new colourways in our relaxed straight leg denim: Murky Wash and Vintage Black.
