ABLE NOISE (GR/NL)
Alex and George’s experimental baritone guitar and drum duo is based between The Hague, the Netherlands, and Athens, Greece. Their music is a beautiful exploration of texture, instrument, recording equipment, space and the role of you, the audience. We highly recommend listening to their debut album High Tide and, of course, experiencing them live as they take us on a sonic journey.
Through the
use of voices, tapes and alternative methods of playing their instruments, they create a minimal and visual performance exploring the acoustics of space, the roles of performer and audience, and the physicality of performing.
TZITZIFRIKIA (GR)
Tzitzifrikia is a duo based in Athens, Greece. They have been playing together and organising gigs since 2018. Their creative process is based on creating rhythmical structures consisted of their own samples and field recordings, edited into electronic environments which then become one with guitar, vocals and drums, pans, jam-blocks and shouts.
COMFORT (UK)
Sibling duo Natalie and Sean re-located to Glasgow with the intention of forming a band that resisted traditions, developing their sound through years of intensive writing, practicing and performing in spaces aligned with Glasgow’s queer/punk scene. Comfort’s set up consists of Sean on drums and Natalie as magnetic frontwoman, backed by wildly oscillating software synths to create music that is direct, engaging and uncompromising.
