UK dates The Greater Lanarkshire Auricular Research Council (GLARC), who somehow managed to convince us to release recorded music back in 2020, are celebrating ten years of auricular research in tape form. For the occasion they have planned two day concerts in March in both Glasgow and London, and we are both flattered and excited to have been invited to perform for both. Those who know us wouldn’t, if it wasni for GLARC to begin with. Thank you pals so much, and we wish you many more years and releases. Besides these two GLARC events, we have added a few more concerts along the way in Edinburgh, Leeds, Oxford and Brighton, making this the first time we will be playing Leeds and Brighton. MARCH 6th - Edinburgh, Ocean Point - ( @___px4m___ ) 7th - Glasgow, McNeil’s - (GLARC) 10th - Leeds, @wharfchamberscc 11th - Oxford, The Library - ( @divineschism ) 12th - Brighton, @the_rose_hill ( @lostpropertycollective ) 13th - London, @cafeotodalston - (GLARC)

End of a very busy, very exciting year for the two of us. The album, through the push @worldofechomusic and @zoezopf gave it, managed to travel all over the place and received some really encouraging and rewarding praise along the way. We’ve been wanting to collect some of our fondest bits of the reviews and interviews we’ve received and done since the release of the album in one place for a while now. Seems more fitting to do so at the end of this year than the start of the next. The list includes publications from @thewiremagazine , @thequietus , @jack.chuter of @attn_magazine , @sashafrerejones of @4columnsmag and Alvin Row. Thank all of you so so much for the support and engagement. Means the world and opened many doors. All links are in the comments below. Thank you always Stephen, Natalie and Zoe of @worldofechomusic for making all the above possible. You heard potential in what we had been doing, were so patient and supportive during the making of the baby, and the moment we passed it on to you, all three took it and absolutely ran. We owe you so much. Thanks all gig organisers and people involved in every gig we played this year (about seventy?) for putting us on, hosting us, feeding us. Several dreams came true, with a good deal of new pals made and old pals visited. DIY activity is crucial for maintaining alternative space, now on the brink of extinction, kindling alternative culture and therefore vital alternative social and political discourse. Every volunteer gig organiser, sound technician, light technician, DJ, cook, bartender, cleaner, team member who contributed to our gigs this year, you are vital in maintaining this resistance and the two of us are so thankful and proud to be part of your world. Thank you family, friends, and fans for all the love and support this last year. The reception has been unimaginable for us. Culmination might have been the twelve-year-old mega fan in Kraków. Some time off for now, back with gigs in a few months, be well for now ! Free Palestine (to begin with).

Tickets on sale now 🎟️ Dig That Treasure! Festival - Night Two A duo of drums (Alex Andropoulos) and baritone guitar (George Knegtel), Able Noise have become one of the most revered and ineffable acts in the European experimental music circuit. Originating in The Hague (Knegtel) and Athens (Andropoulos), the pair met at art school in the Netherlands and have since refined a sound that channels a process-based artistic practice through a lineage of post-rock and experimental pop music. The duo followed a 2020 GLARC tape with their first 'proper' full-length, released on World Of Echo to great acclaim (one of Wire Magazine's albums of the year 2024) and now on its third pressing. Conceptually driven but packing an emotional weight, the duo's live performances see them utilise cassette players, extended practice techniques and shared vocal duties to create a distinctive, spellbinding experience. Full bill to be announced soon!

Something truly special is in the air 🌬️💨 On the 4th of October, three duos, will be sharing their explosive interpretations of song, sound and dance with us at Ctrl+Space. Local sound experimentalists Able Noise @ablenoise will be joined by Athenian noise rock lovers Tzitzifrikia @tzitzifrikia alongside Glaswegian queer noise punk siblings Comfort @comfort.irl Doors open at 20:30, music starts 21:00 sharp, tickets are €10 and sold at the door. Make hay while the sun shines… ABLE NOISE (GR/NL) Alex and George’s experimental baritone guitar and drum duo is based between The Hague, the Netherlands, and Athens, Greece. Their music is a beautiful exploration of texture, instrument, recording equipment, space and the role of you, the audience. We highly recommend listening to their debut album High Tide and, of course, experiencing them live as they take us on a sonic journey. Through the use of voices, tapes and alternative methods of playing their instruments, they create a minimal and visual performance exploring the acoustics of space, the roles of performer and audience, and the physicality of performing. TZITZIFRIKIA (GR) Tzitzifrikia is a duo based in Athens, Greece. They have been playing together and organising gigs since 2018. Their creative process is based on creating rhythmical structures consisted of their own samples and field recordings, edited into electronic environments which then become one with guitar, vocals and drums, pans, jam-blocks and shouts. COMFORT (UK) Sibling duo Natalie and Sean re-located to Glasgow with the intention of forming a band that resisted traditions, developing their sound through years of intensive writing, practicing and performing in spaces aligned with Glasgow’s queer/punk scene. Comfort’s set up consists of Sean on drums and Natalie as magnetic frontwoman, backed by wildly oscillating software synths to create music that is direct, engaging and uncompromising.
