Caro... Caro ... Caroline. How many times did I call you?
But let's not judge her too harshly. Caroline is on a mission of love. Mixing business and pleasure always seems like a good idea, until it isn't.
In this season of love, let's extend a hand, a hug, a kiss, or a back rub to those who give us love, those we make love with, and those we speak love to. Let's build a habit of verbalizing our admiration.
And may God grant us the mercy of finding and growing love in the right places, with the right persons.
With heartstring tugs and sweet lipped kisses,

At the core of all art, is play. How do you find your voice as a writer? Play with words. How do you find your voice as a dancer? Play with movement. How do you find your voice as a painter? Play with colours. As a cook? Play with flavour. As a designer? Play with fabric... Well, you get the picture (ba dum chik π₯).
No matter your medium, or creative affinity, play is the centre of discovering and becoming. Exploration and venturing down new paths, or following paths previously trod, in different ways are how we find ourselves.
We can be so focussed on theory, and the rules we ought to know and follow, that we lose our wonder and whimsy. If we as creatives do not experience or express said wonder, or wander in said whimsy, how do we gift those that consume our art with the magic of discovery? How do we invite them into emotional catharsis?
The truth is, we cannot. Stiffness and performing by rote are signs of being creatively stymied, or even traumatized. If we cannot allow ourselves to play, it is difficult to be responsive, and even harder to be genuine in our craft.
So dabble, my dears. Dip your toe in the water. Then your foot. Then immerse yourself up to your waist... Before you know it, you'll be floating comfortably; buoyed up by the whimsical waters of play.
In that land of play, in that world of imagination, you will light upon new voices, new mediums, new joys, and fresh wonders.
Next step? Be unafraid to share. So here I am, in a fun musical frolic with Victor, after our Brother Jero private practice. It was fun, freeing... And brother man ended up speaking in tongues πππ so you know the getting was good.
Is it perfect? Nope. Does it need to be? Nope. Is it how we refine? Yup. Does it help us to be more openly vulnerable? Yes indeed!
I think you catch my drift πππ
With gleeful glissando,
