My sweet boy,
Today is my first Motherâs Day, and I keep looking at you and trying to find the right words for what youâve done to me but nothing ever feels big enough.
You came into my life during one of the hardest seasons Iâve ever known. I lost your grandpa the same week I found out about you, and I lost your auntie the same month you were growing inside me. There was so much grief around me, so much pain, and I truly didnât know how I was going to keep going.
But then you came.
And somehow, without saying a single word, you brought me back to life.
You are my morning after the darkest night. My reason to breathe deeper. My reason to wake up and try again, even on the hard days.
I want you to know I love you in a way I didnât even know a heart could hold. Itâs overwhelming sometimes how much I feel for you. I watch you sleep, I watch you play, I watch you just exist and I feel this quiet promise inside me that I will always protect you.
You made me a mother, but more than that, you healed parts of me I didnât even realize were still broken. I understand now what it means to be Abiamo: a mother whose love doesnât have limits, only depth.
Every pain I went through to bring you here was worth it. Every sleepless night, every change in my body, every fear, every tear⌠worth it.
Because you are worth everything.
