On Monday, I pitched my animated TV show at @glasgowfilmfest as part of their animatic talent development lab.
It has been a great experience developing Lochs & Legends alongside some outstanding animated projects made by some outstanding creatives (and friends.)
On Thursday, I won the TV and feature category for best pitch. Absolutely crazy. You can see it's not sunk in for me in one of the photos.
I've had an incredible 6 months working on this project, sharing with this group of beautiful creatives (missing from the photo is the wonderful Steven Fraser) and growing as a group. All their projects are fantastic, and I'm excited to see them all grow.
On a personal note, I am mad proud of myself! I hate public speaking, and I'm always terrified. When we all got together for the pitch prep weekend and i had to go through my pitch for the first time, I froze, and I couldn't do it. So to end the weekend with the judges pick for best pitch is astonishing. I couldn't have done it without the support and advice from @mysmashmedia whose patient guidance helped us all take our pitches to the next level. I also never would have been able to do this without gff, who believed in my project in the first place. And of course, my fellow pitchers! Who are some of the most supportive people I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Im off to collapse in a heep for a couple of days before I start looking to use that development fund!

Making good on some of the intentions I set at the start of the year. Loch's & Legends is developing thanks to animatic. Hopefully more on that in the coming months! but in the mean time I'm making good on my intention to do more fan art! Started with a classic - The Breakfast Club!

Keep seeing these artist resolution posts about. I liked the idea, but I'm over resolutions. So, instead, here are my 2025 artist manifestations. Although i do feel like speaking them allowed has power, if anyone has leads on games that need character design, tutorials for Moho or how to contact Dan and Arin, then I'd be grateful! Otherwise, i'll just let the universe do its work.

Some finished concepts for will o wisps for lochs & legends ive been working on recently. I enjoyed working on these but admit im surprised by my favourites in the end. I might share the early sketch pages later because I'd like to talk about the ones i thought would be my favourites at that point. Funny how things change huh.
