For the @veralistcenter ’s current focus theme ‘Matter of Intelligence’ @eriolasgram invited me to collaborate on a series of screening programs. Last year we looked at children’s intuition and the epistemics of not-yet-knowing. Next week we’ll follow up with a program on intelligence testing itself.
We’ve been thinking about pattern recognition – how IQ testing claims to measure your ability to find order in a structure. But the structure has to be built by someone before it can be found. The test doesn’t reveal intelligence but arranges it.
The works in the program _Testing, Testing_ are by Coleman Collins, Sandra Erbacher @sandra.erbacher , and Ruth Estévez @ruthaestevez approach the test not as a neutral instrument but as a score, a choreography, a set of instructions that have historically determined movement, belonging, and exclusion. I’m looking forward to being in conversation with them soon and discuss this further.

Abirami Logendran
in the blink of an eye
12.03. - 26.04.2026
BOs aktuelle utstilling er kunstner Abirami Logendran (f. 1992) sin tredje separatutstilling i Oslo. Logendran bruker rutenett som metode for å organisere et personlig bildearkiv.
Funnet materiale fra film, populærkultur og nyhetsbildet er satt i sammenheng gjennom ulike rutenettsstrukturer. Gjennom sammenblandingen av collage, print og håndskrevet tekst gir Logendran uttrykk for en samtidighet der ulike referanser og perspektiver gjensidig gir hverandre mening - det som eksisterer mellom to bilder forandrer betydningen av begge.
Utstillingen er åpen onsdag til søndag, 12:00 - 16:00, fra 12. mars til 26. april.
