Isaiah Mikhail is a New York City–based Art Director and creative strategist at Sundial Media Group, home to brands including ESSENCE Magazine, Refinery29, Afropunk, and Beautycon, where he shapes visual narratives across design, fashion, and culture. With formal training in marketing and advertising, he approaches creative work through a strategic lens–aligning aesthetics, cultural relevance, and brand intention.
His practice focuses on building design systems and visual worlds that translate seamlessly across editorial, digital, and experiential platforms. Isaiah is particularly interested in how emerging technologies enhance creative direction–supporting clarity, scale, and consistency–while preserving taste, authorship, and human perspective.
Beyond editorial, Isaiah works with founders and brands on identity, content, and storytelling, helping them articulate modern, culturally resonant expressions of their ideas through design.
