Happy New Year ✨
I like to think that seeing the Aurora Borealis on my flight back to Kelowna as the New Year was welcomed is a good omen for 2025. Thanks to everyone who made 2024 a good one.
On a rainy August day, my best friend and I eloped together. To say I am grateful for this man would be an understatement. 🤍 Rather than dampening our day, the rain was a highlight as we ran through the falling showers, celebrating who we have become together. Thank you to everyone who lifted us up and celebrated us. To friends and family, we hope to plan a larger celebration in the coming years, but this is what felt right for us.

So I think now is a good time to share some very big news… my best friend asked me to marry him! Life has been so busy, last year I graduated university and started working full time before going through a tough dispute resolution case with my landlords which I lost, causing me to have to move. There have been so many ups and downs and some days I don’t know which way is up, but he’s been with me through it all, patiently reminding me that I’ve got this, and that he’s right by my side, that together, we can get through anything. They don’t tell you how scary it can be getting engaged, especially when you’ve recently discovered you’re prone to anxiety. The future is scary considering how tough last year was, but I can’t wait to face the future head on with the love of my life, my sweetie, my soulmate.
