@mahirahkhan ! Truly one of the kindest, most gracious and grounded people I’ve had the privilege to work with. It still feels surreal, going from being a long-time admirer to actually being the one behind the camera shooting you.
Watching you perform the way you did, giving your all in every moment, every take and seeing the way you constantly pushed yourself to new limits was nothing short of inspiring. And yet, you bring on set the calmest, warmest energy, with such effortless positivity.

Still feels unreal getting to work with the two mega stars of my country on my very first film! The energy they bring, their absolute command over the craft, and the depth of their experience is something I’ll carry with me forever.
Watching them effortlessly transform into Barkat and Almas, shifting into such intense, grounded performances was nothing short of incredible. Also I'd like to add, despite shooting it, everytime I watch 'Aag Lagay Basti mein' I notice newer things in both of your performances and I find something extraordinary everytime. Certain expression, some improvisation, certain action, that just adds layers to your characters and that is what seperates you both from everyone else! It’s no surprise the film is already making history with its record-breaking opening!
