Hey Everybody,
There's really no easy way to go about this. Ed has chosen to step down from Aberrance. He has been such an invaluable piece of our band and truly irreplaceable. From being an absolutely stellar frontman, vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, writing incredibly unique guitar parts, to being an intelligent perspective to look to on social issues, a great friend, amazing person over all and everything we could have ever asked for over the last 13 years with him.
With that being said, life gets difficult to keep up with playing together and so we have chosen to put the band to rest. October 17th will be our last show as Aberrance. The doors never fully shut but we are closing it for the foreseeable future. The last 16 years have been amazing and we are entirely grateful for where we've been able to go as a band simply for everyone being interested in seeing us over and over and over and over.
Absolutely no bad blood between any of us, we love each other to death but there's more to life than music. We will still be doing music in one form or another. Ed will be taking over vocals for our brothers in
@voyeurdeath as well as starting a hardcore project named
@castigator530 Jake also plays bass in a new Doom/Crust band named
@mordeo.time . More projects will form out of this, no question. Please wholeheartedly support Chico's music scene in our absence because we are the children of every other band that has come and gone.
