This past spring, I had a burning desire within me to be in a musical. Soon after, I was blessed for that desire to come true, playing the role of Curly in “Oklahoma!” It was such a blast to do my second straight show with a southern accent! This experience challenged me musically and grew me spiritually as I enjoyed the rollercoaster journey that defines theatre. I was also very grateful to get close to such a talented cast and grow together. Thank you, cast, for your support, accountability, and encouragement. We originally wrote this song as an encouragement to the church to not just go through the motions but actually FEEL the presence of the Living God. The song is based on the verse Ephesians 5:14 which says “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” There is darkness and violence in the world. Lots of it. But I’m telling y’all, there is light. A bright, powerful, glorious light. And that light is Jesus Christ. Over the past four years, I’ve experienced that light in my life and my heart has been filled with endless love that I can’t find anywhere else. He is alive and wants to dwell in you. Here we go, post-production post alert Man, what a ride on @thecanonofgrimward it was. Thank you @xav.gar @jonathanharvest and @lauramaepoore for this amazing opportunity. I had such a blast playing the character of Gog, the crazy Orc accountant alongside my fellow Orcs @dmikula and @kaltofici.films This was a very fun set to work on, during takes and in between takes. Everyone worked incredibly hard, for a final product that is poised to be a masterpiece. Beyond blessed! Being on stage transcends reality. There is something so personal, so special about it that stirs and awakens my soul. Playing Lysander in Midsummer Night’s Dream in Cartersville, Georgia was one of the best experiences of my life. Sometimes, the greatest blessings you’ll ever receive are unexpected, so always remember to keep your eyes, ears, and heart open to the open door that awaits you. Thank you to the amazing cast and crew for the fun times we had on stage and off. You are all special humans beings and I am eternally grateful to have worked with you.
