We are doing jam sessions a bit differently this year! To ensure that jam sessions work at times that are most convenient for everyone, we are making it more member-led. This means that if you are interested in organising/attending a jam session, you can join the jam session channel in the roles channel on our Discord (linked in bio) and discuss there with your fellow jammers what songs you will play, when you are all free and who will play what instrument. Once you have decided on a date, shoot one of us committee members a message (be sure to tell us if you will need to hire any instruments) and we will book the rehearsal room for you
Once you have spoken to us and we have agreed on your booking, you can make your payment through our AUSA page (ausa.org.uk/organisation/rockmetal). The payment is for your entire group, so will need to be split equally between yourselves
Pricing:
- £15 for an hour (for a group)
- £30 for three hours (only on weekdays 12-6pm or Saturdays 12-9pm)
- Instrument hire is +£1 per hour per instrument (guitars (acoustic, electric, bass), keyboards, cymbal set, double kick pedals)
Please note:
- You will need to purchase the session type you want along with the appropriate number of instrument hire tickets for each instrument you need to hire. If you are booking a three hour session you will need to get 3x as many instrument hire tickets
- Jam sessions will take place in Captain Toms rehearsal studio (AB25 3LH). Feel free to discuss with us if this is an issue for your group
- Jam sessions are for members only! :)

gnome sighted in this very specific area in aberdeen. we need to band together tomorrow to put an end to this madness. whoever finds this monstrosity will be paid lucratively (in sweets). attached is a map of places the gnome is known to dwell. this may be a good place to start looking tomorrow
