Today we had the privilege of hosting a powerful full-day experience with the Social Justice Learning Institute, beginning in KwaLanga and continuing through Khayelitsha.
The day was grounded in honest conversations, deep reflection, and meaningful engagement with the lived realities, histories, and vibrant cultures of these communities. From exploring spaces shaped by apartheid’s legacy to witnessing the resilience, creativity, and innovation that define these areas today, it was a journey of both learning and connection.
Moments like these remind us that social justice is not just something to study it’s something to experience, to feel, and to actively engage with.

Over the last 4 days, Durban hosted bringing together tourism leaders, storytellers, and changemakers from across Africa and beyond.

KwaLanga walking tours are slowly becoming a consistent part of our journey and it’s exciting to see more travellers choosing to explore the community through authentic local experiences.
Late afternoon yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting a guest from the US for a meaningful walk through KwaLanga sharing stories, history, culture and everyday life while creating genuine human connections along the way.

Day 2 at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026 started on a high note with the 5km fun run along the beautiful beachfront a refreshing way to begin another exciting day of connection and opportunity.
Later in the day, we had the privilege of doing a Shortleft interview, sharing more about the work we continue to do through cultural and community experiences in Khayelitsha and now KwaLanga.
