@definingcourageshow , @StoryBoldly and @abc7davidono are proud to support Himeyuri, a new original student production at UCLA inspired by the lesser-known history of the Okinawa Mass Suicides during WWII. The story follows teenagers trying to survive the emotional and moral chaos of war through their friendships, fears, love, loyalty, and fractured ideals, while also exploring how those memories continue to echo decades later.

Once a year, it’s the center of the universe — where fashion explodes into the world of art and entertainment. The Met Gala is captivating. What were your favorite looks? 👗🔥
Feeling grateful today, recalling moments from our recent Seattle performance @meanycenter - @abc7davidono with veteran Victor "Junks" Ikeda, on stage being recognized by the audience, local Seattle musician Lea Fetterman on violin sharing her talents with our show, @haroldpaynemusic performing 'Quiet Heroes' and our composer/conductor/pianist @emceesher as David narrates. @raisesingers@chriswademusicproductions
Seats for #SaltLakeCity @midvalleyperformingartscenter are going FAST - this will be a sell out. A truly historic show in Cody at the Heart Mountain pilgrimage is next, then Chicago and Portland TBD
I remember feeling at this particular moment, a deep sense of gratitude: for being healthy enough to do what I love, for the audiences who welcome us wholeheartedly, for the talented behind-the-scenes team who make this huge production appear effortless, for this inspiring instrument in my hands, and most of all, for the opportunity to help @abc7davidono tell this meaningful story of courage and righteousness - a message our world so desperately needs right now.
The @definingcourageshow will be coming to Salt Lake City UT, Heart Mountain/Cody WY, Chicago IL, and Portland OR. Please come to see us!
Proud of our team ✨ Sharing these words from the Peabody Board of Jurors:
“The 2025 wildfires in Southern California redefined the terrain of an American city, upending untold numbers of families’ lives, and serving as grim warning of what climate change might bring with increasing frequency. In this, the fires were both a local and national story, and ABC News leveraged its reporting team at every level to cover it with the gravity that the story, and the victims at its center, deserved. ABC’s flagship properties Good Morning America and World News Tonight brought their resources to bear on the unfolding crisis and, especially, its aftermath, as Angelenos wondered whether rebuilding would even be possible. But their partners at local affiliate KABC were there from the fire’s first moments, demonstrating grit, tenacity, and true humanity. Indeed, KABC showed the continued utility of television in moments of emergency, sharing vital information about the inferno’s spread and a deep and abiding interest in how neighbors were making it through. For courage in the most challenging of reporting circumstances, and for an insistence on honoring the community interest over the sensational, ABC News and KABC win a Peabody Award.”
