On Yom HaShoah, I speak the names and remember my ancestors. In particular, i am holding the memories of my grandparents David and Aurelia Gold z’l.
We are here because they endured and survived. Their survival lives in me: quiet, unextinguished.
May we be upstanders, may we remember, and may we never look away.
