We know there's been a lot going on this month (very little of it good), and so a few folks reached out to us asking for extra time on their fellowship applications. And here at Rising Organizers, well, we're all about the people. So we've extended the deadline to Monday, January 19 at 11:59 PM. Apply now at the link in our bio or at risingorganizers.org/fellowship
If you've been on the fence about applying or if you just didn't have the time to get to the application this week, now's your moment. This opportunity won't be back until September, and 2026 is already proving that this is no time to sit on your hands and wait.
So if you are looking for a community that shares your values, that wants to work toward the kind of future you deserve, and that wants to take real, practical steps to change the world—apply to the fellowship by this Monday, January 19. We can't wait to meet you.
DUE FRIDAY: Everything sucks. Are you ready to do something about it?
Rising Organizers’ free community organizing fellowship is a place to turn your anger and frustration at the state of, well, everything into real skills, real relationships, and real power that can change your future. Apply now at risingorganizers.org/fellowship or at the link in our bio.
Fellows will learn how movements are built, how to win real campaigns, and how to work with your community to build the future you deserve.
You don’t need to be an expert on the issues or have all the answers. You just need to be curious, open, and ready to imagine something better.
Applications close this Friday, January 17, at 11:59 PM. Don't miss this opportunity—we can't wait to meet you.

The stakes for our democracy have never been higher—and we're building long-term power in the heart of the crisis. Ready to join us? Apply to our free organizing fellowship at risingorganizers.org/fellowship. Applications are due September 6th.
Rising Organizers' free nine-session fellowship program builds grassroots organizing power right here in the DC metro area. Our program equips everyday people with the skills to lead campaigns, organize their communities, and build power where it’s needed most.
Over the course of the fellowship, you'll learn about strategies for social change, develop key organizing skills, and join a network of alumni who are defending and expanding democracy across the country.
If you believe that every community deserves freedom and equality, and that we can’t afford to surrender the hardest fights, this is your next step. Our fellowship is designed for people at the beginning of their organizing journey, and it's the best place to grow your skills and join others committed to change.
Are you ready to take on the fight for your future? Apply today at risingorganizers.org/fellowship. Applications are due Saturday, September 6 at 12:59 PM.

I love my GWORL and am excited for all she’s accomplished and yet to create. Following her dreams. Something we should all aim for.

So excited to finally announce what @abannah , @ashleyjayewilliams and I have been working on!
When @abannah approached me about participating this project, I was (and still am) over the moon with excitement. Join us for this inaugural event, where I will be sharing the history of fatphobia in the US, and the steps people are taking to decolonize their ideals of beauty in current day.
@ashleyjayewilliams will then present new work inspecting their own personal relationship with the dark side of American body standards and its effect on their art practice.
Space for this event is limited. Please be aware that we are dedicated to ensuring that this is a safe space! DM me for the event link 🩷
