Rising Organizers' free nine-session fellowship program builds grassroots organizing power right here in the DC metro area. Our program equips everyday people with the skills to lead campaigns, organize their communities, and build power where it’s needed most.
Over the course of the fellowship, you'll learn about strategies for social change, develop key organizing skills, and join a network of alumni who are defending and expanding democracy across the country.

I can FINALLY post more than 10 which means I can FINALLY publicly celebrate my BFF4L’s move from SF to LA!! Road trip, celebration, support, and canned cocktails were had. RSVP in bio! For the Ground We Walk On is an intimate(ish), intentional, earthly arts salon. Featuring artist organizer Adele Kenworthy, harpist Iliana Garabyare, poetess Poetbaby, sound bath artist Estephanie Rose of “Sound & Movement”, and multidisciplinary musical artist Bubbles.
With artist presentations, guided meditation, discussions, and ancestral communal practice, this free community gathering aims to explore our roots (physical and ancestral), examine the cycles of the earth and our own embodiment of them as a connective force to one another, and exemplify our conviction that beauty is a necessity of life, especially in times of resistance.

So excited to finally announce what @abannah , @ashleyjayewilliams and I have been working on!
When @abannah approached me about participating this project, I was (and still am) over the moon with excitement. Join us for this inaugural event, where I will be sharing the history of fatphobia in the US, and the steps people are taking to decolonize their ideals of beauty in current day.
@ashleyjayewilliams will then present new work inspecting their own personal relationship with the dark side of American body standards and its effect on their art practice.
