AAYA is an Egyptian/Kuwaiti producer and DJ based in Northern California. She began making electronic music while studying cognitive neuroscience and quickly fell in love with the creative possibilities of sound design, production, and DJing.
She has developed a distinct sonic identity rooted in cutting-edge bass design, intricate edits, catchy leads, and hard-hitting basslines. Her music explores otherworldly textures and expressive spaces, bringing intangible emotions to life through sound.
AAYA has released on labels including Gravitas Recordings, Muti Music, Grand Alliance Music, and Aspire Higher. Her work has been featured on Beatport’s “Best New Hype D&B” playlists, as well as Electric Hawk, EDM.com, The Daily Frequency, and more. With a style that continues to evolve, she does not stick to any particular genre, yet there is a sonic thread between all of her tunes.

Originally from Egypt and Kuwait and now based in NorCal for the past 12 years, AAYA has spent the last several years developing her musical style while exploring various sound design and production methods, as well as DJing. Her passion for sound design has allowed her to create a unique sonic space, as she carves all her sounds from scratch. She incorporates cutting edge bass design methods and otherworldly spaces, expressing that which is intangible. In doing so, she weaves together a tapestry of intricate edits, catchy leads, and hard-hitting basslines. She has released on labels such as Aspire Higher, Gravitas Recordings, Grand Alliance Music, Muti Music, and Prizmatik Records (her label). She was featured on Beatport’s “Best New Hype DnB” Playlists, and has rocked various festivals around the country with many more to come.
